Lot Notes

It is not known why Morrison chose to graffiti the biography of the Swedish musician Michael Bellman, but it can not be by sheer coincidence that Bellman, a poet and composer famous for being a master of rhyme and rhythm, with a wonderful sense for combining words and music, would be on Morrison's reading list. Bellman was renowned for writing songs that were innovative and original in form, as well as challenging in subject matter, something that Morrison could possibly draw inspiration from, or just empathize with.

" I am of a similar opinion to the contacts you have made, who you refer to as an historical expert of "The Doors", in that the hand writing is of  very similar style to other documents I have seen and been fortunate to have handled over the years. In addition the autograph of Pamela Courson appears to be similar in style to known examples I have seen."
